Oscar Peterson, a Canadian jazz pianist has amused the world with his talent over the piano for more than 40 years. At an age of five, he became skilled at the piano and the trumpet and at the age of seven, he mainly concentrated on the piano.

He was born on August 15, 1925 in Montreal, Québec with a family of four siblings. Their parents, Daniel and Kathleen have taught music to their children in an amazing way.

Oscar Peterson became a famous piano teacher in Montreal who as well as taught many other well-known Canadian jazz musicians. With his brilliant techniques, Oscar Peterson was introduced to an American jazz producer, Norman Granz over a local radio station in Alberta. Norman Granz asked Oscar Peterson to perform at New York to play as a surprised guest. He delighted the audience and therefore his relationship with Norman Granz began.

Oscar Peterson had suffered a serious stroke which weakened his left side and had kept him away from his career for 2 years. But, he fought the stroke and began his career once again. Oscar Peterson has created more than 70 albums and worked hard to achieve this.
