Gloria Estefan is a Cuban-American singer and songwriter from Cuba, she was born on September first, 1957 in Havana Cuba, she is 52 years old. Gloria has won several awards including seven Grammy's, a star on the walk of fame, a Hispanic Heritage Award, a MTV video music award, two cable TV ACE awards, National music foundations humanitarian of the year award, American music award for lifetime achievment. Her biggest award is the Ellis Island congressional medal of honor which is the highest award given to a US naturalized citizen. She has also been in two movies and written two children's books, her and her husband Emilio own seven resturants, and two hotels in florida. Gloria is known as one of the most successful crossover performers in Latin music to date.
