Sony VAIO EE vs Macbook Pro, which is the best bet?

Hey everyone! Plain %26amp; simple: I'm looking to get a new laptop for college this Fall semester. I've narrowed it down to a Sony VAIO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as鈥?/a>



Or the new Macbook Pro: http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/



It's generally between these two, unless anyone has a better suggestion overall to give. I'm looking for a knowledgeable answer as to which laptop is better overall (hardware, dependability, battery life, looks, etc.). I'm not using it for gaming, just editing and production. I deal with a lot of music, whether it be creating, producing or writing + I'll be studying Marketing and Advertising. The only game I really play is Medal of Honor Allied Assault.. which needs little to no high def graphics.

Both are very good, but you may also want to take a look at the HP Envy as it is a very solid laptop like the macbook pro it also has a backlit keyboard, with a 750 GB hard drive, it also has the Beats by Dre audio built in for a lot louder and clearer music on top of all that it is cheaper, only $999 and is a windows computer so it is more compatible with more programs then mac and it will also play blu ray which mac cant do
